Mariupol plant named after Ilyich struggles with the waste of metal rolling

For example, the introduction of refractory concrete lining of the main troughs of the casting yard of blast furnace No. 2 optimized the repair process, and an increase in the consumption of molten iron made it possible to reduce the consumption of fuel oil and natural gas when smelting open-hearth steel.

Earlier it was reported that MMK im. Ilyich reduced steel production in 2013 by 2 percent to 5 million 35 thousand tons, but increased the production of pig iron by 543 thousand tons.
