According to statistics published by the Association of Italian Steel Manufacturers (Federacciai), in the first ten months of 2016, Italy's steel product exports to non-EU countries amounted to 8.851 million tonnes, down 1.1% year on year. Exports of long products totaled 491,000 tonnes, down 5.6% year on year.
At the same time, the export of Italian steel products to the EU countries amounted to 4.214 million tons, down 3.4% year on year. Exports of long products to the EU reached 1.769 million tonnes, down 0.2% year on year.
