Completed work on modernization and repair in the steam turbine Workshop OJSC Turboatom. Starting in 2010, preparations began for a stop and dismantling the Waldrich Coburg portal and milling machine. In 2011, the main nodes of the machine were reconstructed in Germany. Elements of the hydraulic and mechanical system were modernized, produced by repair of pumps and electric motors , replaced electronics.
The machine served for about 25 years. Over this time, he played at the enterprise the main role in the production of turbines. Reconstruction was carried out by a German company producing these machines. As part of the project, the workers of the repair and mechanical workshop restored the beds and columns for the installation of equipment. The forced stop of the machine lasted about a year. It was replaced by several machines at once, capable of performing the required work.
On the Waldrich Coburg machine, drilling, boring and milling work of the highest level are produced. The machine is able to process almost all the details of steam turbines. The equipment is located on an area of about 140 sq.m. and a height of 18 m. The project of reconstruction of the machine ensured an increase in labor productivity and the restoration of the initial characteristics of the processing center.
