The French Steel Federation (FFA) released the latest data for January 2017. Steel production in France was 1.33 million tonnes, remaining stable compared to the same period last year.
During the reporting period, there was a decrease in steel output from electric arc furnaces, falling by 14.8% to 375,000 tons compared to the same period last year. However, the production of crude steel using blast furnaces was 957,000 tons, an increase of 7.3% over the same period last year.
