The main finished steel products with a significant increase in imports in March this year, compared with February, were heavy structural forms (up to 83%), hot-rolled sheets (up to 53%), reinforcing bars (up to 49%), plates in coils (up to 31 %), oil products (up to 31%), hot-rolled strips (up to 29%), wire handled (up to 23%) and sheet metal (up to 22%).
In March, the largest exporters of finished steel to the United States were South Korea (317,000 tons, up 22% from the final result in February), Turkey (298,000 tons, up 52%), Japan (135,000 tons, up 35%), Germany (93,000 tons, up to 77%) and Taiwan (90,000 tons, up 12%)
