The association of metallurgical enterprises of Ukraine "Ukrmetallurgprom" criticized the management of PJSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" for ignoring the interests of the mining and metallurgical complex of Ukraine.
The chairman of PJSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" Wojciech Balchun said that metallurgical plants of Ukraine do not timely cope with the loading and unloading of ordered wagons, because wagons are irrationally used by private companies, which prevents them from satisfying the requests of the metallurgical sector in full.
According to Balchun, on the access roads to the MMK im. Ilyich, about 500 freight cars are idle every day. As a result, for 438 gondola cars agreed with the plant, the actual loading does not exceed 182 cars per day.
The general director of the plant, Yuriy Zinchenko, said that Ukrzaliznytsia had warned the industrial enterprises of Mariupol about a decrease in the throughput of freight trains on the Kamysh-Zarya - Volnovakha branch from the standard 18 to 7.
