On September 16 and 17, the iconic Star Wars objects - the Death Star, the imperial attack aircraft, the R2D2 droid and the X-WING fighter - will be recreated in Dnipro. LEGO bricks will become the material for "construction".
It is planned to recreate two opposing camps from the epic movie - the empire camp and the rebel camp. On September 16, construction of the Death Star will begin in the empire camp, in the rebel camp - the X-WING starfighter. The construction of the Imperial Stormtrooper and R2D2 will take place on September 17th. The diameter of the Death Star will be 1.3 meters, the height of the Imperial stormtrooper is almost 2 meters, and the wingspan of the X-WING is 2.5 meters. A total of four objects will take about 200 thousand cubes.
Anyone can take part in the LEGO construction site. The construction will take place at the festival of science, technology and modern technologies Interpipe TechFest on the territory of the Avalanche amusement park. Participants will be able to win prizes from B&H Film - hats, stickers, phone cases and Star Wars posters.
“Last year at Interpipe TechFest we recreated one of the most famous objects of the modern Dnieper -“ towers ”. This year, together with the community of LEGO UkrBricks enthusiasts and Belleville, we decided to surprise the Star Wars fans and build legendary Star Wars objects from LEGO, ”said Dmitry Kisilevsky, Director of Corporate Relations at Interpipe.
