Record sales of Russian gas to Turkey recorded

For 11 months of this year, Russian gas exports to Turkey increased by more than 20%. compared to the same period last year. This means that in 11 months the import of Turkish gas from Russia in absolute terms increased by 4.4 billion m3. Thus, Ankara is the second largest market for Russian gas after Germany. Italy came in third.

The growing gas cooperation between Turkey and Russia is a consequence of changes in the market. Until recently, Ukraine was the second most important market for Russian raw materials. Now Ukraine is importing gas from other directions. Partially, these are raw materials of Russian origin.

In addition, there is ample evidence that Turkey's role as a recipient of Russian gas will grow. A Turkish pipeline is under construction. Thanks to this, it will be possible to send another 15 billion cubic meters of raw materials to the Turkish market.
