We held back production, carried out a large-scale ecological reconstruction of BF No. 3, reached a record for the production of pig iron, expanded the range by 8 items, reduced the cost of production, and increased the energy efficiency of production. The most important task of Zaporizhstal in 2018 is to start the construction of an oxygen-converter shop, which will open up new horizons for the plant for the next 20-30 years, ”said Rostislav Shurma, General Director of Zaporizhstal.
From January to December 2017, the plant produced 3,795.0 thousand tons of pig iron, 3926.4 thousand tons of steel, 3214.2 thousand tons of rolled products. The decrease in rolled steel production in 2017 was due to the shutdown of the 1150 and 1680 rolling mills in November for major overhauls. Investments in repairs - about 130 million hryvnia.
In December 2017, Zaporizhstal produced 365.7 thousand tons of pig iron, 357.8 thousand tons of steel, 295.2 thousand tons of rolled products.
