Copper prices on the London Metal Exchange are rising slightly. Metal on the LME in 3-month deliveries rose 0.3 percent to $ 7,333.00 per tonne.
Changes in quotes may occur in the coming weeks, but close to current levels, until some stronger factors emerge that will push the market up or down, said analyst Zhu Yi.
“However, there are good forecasts that could support industrial metal quotes this year, although metal prices are already high,” he added.
On Friday, copper on the LME fell $ 68, or 0.9%, to $ 7,121 per tonne.
The metal had a decline of more than 1 percent last week, and it was the first period of 4 weeks to end with a price cut.
