AK Steel Introduces New High Performance Electrical Steel

AK Steel has announced the launch of a new category of electrical steels for use in high voltage and supervoltage power transformers. The new product range is expected to help power transformer manufacturers achieve significant improvements in the overall efficiency of their products.

The new product, called TRAN-COR X, belongs to the family of high permeability targeted electrical steel (GOES) products. According to AK Steel, the recently released product is considered the most technologically advanced and highly efficient electrical steel currently available on the global market. In addition, the company is the only manufacturer of GOES products throughout North America. The products are mainly sold to customers in the United States as well as other countries around the world.
