The Iranian mining sector expects new projects to be completed by the end of March 2019 with an investment value of $ 5.5 billion.
According to what Iran's Ministry of Industry announced in March 2018, Iranian private companies have opened three projects in the mining and quarrying industry.
Completed projects include an iron ore pellet plant for the Khorasan Steel Complex with a capacity of 2.5 million tonnes, the development of a steel plant and a continuous steel rolling mill for Saba Steel Co. and Sabzevara Steel's Reduced Iron (DRI) Plant.
According to the same source, there are 28 more projects that should be finalized and launched by the end of March 2019. These projects will employ 4,330 people and create indirect employment for 43,875 people.
