Ukraine in the world ranking of iron and steel producers for 10 months of 2018

According to the Worldsteel World Organization, for 10 months of 2018, metallurgical enterprises of the countries of the world produced 1105.05 million tons of pig iron, of which 1,035.62 million tons by blast furnace method and 69.43 million tons by direct reduction. This is 2.13% higher than the figure of 1,081.96 million tons in the same period in 2017

Brazil moved up from 7th to 6th, overtaking Germany, which moved up to 7th. The positions of the other leading countries have not changed.

At the same time, Ukraine ranks 10th among 44 countries that produce cast iron.

World steel production in 10 months of 2018 reached 1502.02 million tons, which is 4.72% higher than in the period January-October 2017. (1434.29 million tons.

South Korea is now in 5th place, displacing Russia to 6th position, and Italy has moved to 10th position, replacing Iran, which has dropped to 11th place. The rest of the positions remained unchanged.

Among 64 steel-producing countries, Ukraine is in 13th place.
