Results of MMC of Ukraine in November and for 11 months of 2018

Comparative indicators of production of mining enterprises of Ukraine in November 2018: - pig iron - 1.64 million tons, which is 8% lower compared to October 2018; - steel - 1.66 million tons, down 7%; - rolled stock - 1.48 million tons, down 3%. The decrease in the production level in November 2018 compared to October 2018 was primarily due to the overhaul and preventive maintenance of the main metallurgical units at a number of enterprises. 11M 2018 Consolidated Indicators: - iron ore concentrate - 55.25 million tons, which is 100% relative to the same period in 2017; - agglomerate - 28.95 million tons, up 3%; - pellets - 19.58 million tons, up 8%; - gross coke (6% wet) - 9.90 million tons, up 5%; - pig iron - 18.73 million tons, up 5%; - steel - 19.21 million tons, up 1%; - rolled products - 16.84 million tons, up 3%; - pipe products - 1.02 million tons, up 6%. As of December 2018, of the main operating production facilities, 20 out of 21 blast furnaces, 8 out of 9 open-hearth furnaces, 14 out of 16 converters, 6 out of 15 electric furnaces and 13 out of 14 continuous casting machines are in operation.
