Statistics showed that nine mining companies in the country produced 4,013,413 tons of iron ore concentrate in the first month of this year (March 21 to April 20), showing a decrease of one percent over the corresponding period last year.
The country's major iron ore producers produced 45,484,656 tonnes of iron ore concentrate last year (ended March 20, 2019).
In addition, in the first month of this year (March 21 - April 20), the nine largest iron ore companies produced 3,809,045 tonnes of iron ore conglomerate, a 6% increase over the same period last year.
Large iron ore companies produced more than 26.7 million tonnes of conglomerate last year (at the end of March 20, 2019), an increase of more than 49 percent over the same period last year.
