Production results of MMC of Ukraine in May 2019

In May 2019, the metallurgical enterprises of Ukraine produced:

- pig iron - 1.68 million tons (a drop of 9% compared to April 2019);

- steel - 1.83 million tons (down 6%);

- rolled products - 1.74 million tons (an increase of 6%).

During 5 months of 2019 produced:

- iron ore concentrate - 26.40 million tons (105% compared to the same period in 2018);

- agglomerate - 13.28 million tons (an increase of 2%);

- pellets - 9.04 million tons (up 3%);

- gross coke (6% wet.) - 4.42 million tons (down 8%);

- pig iron - 8.72 million tons (an increase of 2%);

- steel - 9.27 million tons (an increase of 7%);

- rolled products - 7.92 million tons (up 3%);

- pipe products - 0.48 million tons (an increase of 7%).

As of June 11, 2019, of the main operating production facilities, 16 out of 21 blast furnaces, 7 out of 9 open-hearth furnaces, 11 out of 16 converters, 5 out of 15 electric furnaces and 15 out of 15 continuous casting machines are in operation.
