According to data from the Italian association of steel producers Federacciai, crude steel production in Italy in July this year was about 1.98 million tonnes, down 8% from the same month a year ago.
In the first 7 months of this year, steel production in Italy amounted to about 14.55 million tons, which is 2.8% lower than last year.
In addition, in the same period, long product output in Italy declined 0.2% year-on-year to 7.63 million tonnes; steel plate had an annual increase of 1.1% to 6.85 million tonnes.
