According to the official report, the total export of metal products from Japan amounted to about 3 million tons, increasing the volume of shipments of rolled metal products by 13.8% on an annualized basis, and also increased by 0.5% on a monthly basis.
The total cost was about 264 billion yen, down 0.4% year on year, mainly due to the fact that the price of rolled steel was cheaper than last year.
In total steel imports in Japan, statistics showed about 628,000 tons in September, increasing the volume of shipments of rolled metal products by 4.1% on an annual basis, but declining by 1.7% on a monthly basis.
