Dneprospetsstal celebrated the World Quality Day

Last Thursday, November 14, the whole world celebrated the Day of Quality. According to the press service of Dneprospetsstal, the entire team of the enterprise considers this holiday to be professional.

“This is not surprising, because the high characteristics of our metal are confirmed by a glorious history, millions of consumers in many countries of the world and a reputation as a reliable supplier,” they say at the Zaporozhye metallurgical plant.

“At our Enterprise, all products undergo a multi-stage quality control,” says Igor Alferov, Head of the Quality Department. - Firstly, according to the "quality control scheme", each technologist supervises the passage of the production process. Key points (pouring steel, planting metal in heating furnaces, etc.) are controlled by employees of the Quality Control Department. The final stage in the production process is the control of the conformity of the chemical composition of the melt (carried out by specialists from the analytical laboratory), control of the conformity of metal products in terms of micro-, macrostructure and mechanical properties (carried out by the specialists of the testing shop and the department for certification of finished products by the Quality Control Department)

Also, according to Igor Alferov, directly at the production sites, all metal products are checked for compliance with the requirements of regulatory documents for geometric dimensions (length, curvature, ovality, diameter, etc.) and for the absence of unacceptable surface defects (visual inspection method, control on the automatic line "Forster", capillary control method and others).

A special place is occupied by the ultrasonic control method, which allows you to look from the inside into the middle of the metal product, to determine the density and absence of internal defects in the metal product. The final stage of control is the control of packaging and labeling of metal products - in this stage, employees of the Quality Control Department, TsSGP and the technological personnel adjusts the production of finished products take part. At this stage, all metal products are completed with their own documents, the main of which is the Certificate of Quality.
