NLMK Group, which claims to be the largest steel producer in Russia and one of the most efficient in the world, has completed a subsequent audit of its management systems in the areas of environmental protection, occupational health and safety, and energy efficiency. In the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, the British Standards Institute (BSI) conducted an online audit.
NLMK Group's Russian facilities have fully confirmed the compliance of existing management systems with the requirements of ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Systems) and 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems). The certificates have been renewed until 2022. According to the audit, NLMK also received ISO 50001 (Energy Management Systems) certification in its 2018 revision.
NLMK Group's metal products are used in various industries, from construction and mechanical engineering to the production of power equipment and offshore wind turbines.
The company operates production facilities in Russia, Europe and the United States, and its steel production capacity exceeds 17 million tons per year.
