According to statistics from the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI), for the week ending October 10, crude steel production in the United States was about 1.5 million short tons, an increase of 1.2% over the same period a week ago and a decrease of 16 ,8. % compared to the same period a year earlier. The capacity utilization rate stood at 67.9%, up 1.3% over the week and down 10.1% year on year.
As of the week ended October 10, crude steel production in the United States this year was about 60.95 million short tons, down 19.5% from a year earlier. The production capacity utilization rate was 66.2%, which is 13.9% less than a year earlier.
