Thyssenkrupp may close steel sheet production line

Thyssenkrupp said that given that the large-scale steel sheet segment did not receive bids from buyers during the competitive bidding process, the company is now considering closing this production line.

The group is currently engaged in reform work. In fact, the possibility of ditching its large-scale sheet metal manufacturing base has already been discussed since last May.

According to informants, the worst performance in the European flat steel market in 2020 will bring flat products; therefore, due to weak market demand, the price of the sheet also suffers from stress.
