Metinvest intends to expand steel rolling capacity in Italy

Ukrainian group Metinvest is considering partnering with Italian steelmaker and steelmaker Danieli to expand flat products production in Italy. A decision on the project was expected within a few months.

The project is currently in the feasibility study stage and is expected to receive approval by the end of the summer. It was reported that the project could cost 600-700 million euros, but both companies declined to comment on funding or the timing of the project.
