The capacity utilization rate was 84.9%, decreasing 0.1% weekly and increasing 19% year on year.
As of the week ending August 28, crude steel production in the United States this year was about 62.05 million tonnes, up 20% from a year earlier. The capacity utilization rate was 80.5%, an increase of 13.9% over the same period last year.
