In August, shipments for export of Russian pig iron to the United States amounted to 173.4 thousand tons. This is 64% lower than in July and 23.6% - on an annualized basis.
A month earlier, these indicators were + 81% and +4 times, respectively.
In general, in January-August, the volume of supplies reached the level of 1.34 million tons, which is 63.7% higher than the same level of the last year.
The average price at the Russian border for these products in August was $ 661.8 per tonne (excluding VAT). Compared to the previous month, it grew by 17%, and in annual terms - by 2.2 times.
Note that the share of deliveries of these products to the United States is approximately 47% of all Russian pig iron exports.
