The Magnitogorsk Metallurgical Plant received the first prize in the nomination "Socially oriented Business" as part of the 50 Plus All -Russian Independent Prize ceremony in Moscow.
The Center for Social Protection of Mature People, established this year on the initiative of ANO, the 50 Plus Prize, was the first kind of nomination in the history of the Russian Federation, which notes the achievement of business regarding the support of people of mature and older age. Such awards exist in many countries of the world, their laureates become recognized authorities in the market of goods and services for people over 50 years old.
The main merit of the MMK to the older generation was organized in 1993 by the Metallurg Public Fund, which adopted and implementing the complex charity program "Care". Today, pensioners, people with disabilities, low -income categories of citizens, former workers of industrial enterprises, budgetary spheres of the city and nearby rural areas (more than 30 thousand people) are covered with concern.
According to the press center of the Magnitogorsk Metallurgical Plant, at present more than 18 thousand non-working pensioners who have completed labor activities at the factory, in addition to the state pension, receive a monthly allowance and undergo free treatment at the expense of the MMK. In 2012, about 330 million rubles were allocated for the implementation of the complex charity program “Care”.
