According to final data from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), the US imported about 126,900 tons of steel coils in October, up 4.1% from the previous month and 281.6% from the same month a year ago. ...
Among them, imports from Canada accounted for the largest share, amounting to approximately 97,400 tons, which is 0.65% less compared to the previous month, and an increase compared to the same period last year was 180.6%. Other sources of imports included Mexico (about 26,100 tons), Turkey (about 14,600 tons), Germany (about 9,100 tons) and South Korea (about 8,400 tons).
During this period, the value of imports was nearly US $ 187 million, an increase of 4.5% MoM and 621.6% YoY.
