According to the State Statistics Service, deflation in Ukraine for 12 months of 2012 amounted to 0.2%. In December 2012, compared with November 2012, the consumer price index (IPC) amounted to 100.2%.
Compared to January 2012, the consumer price index in December for food and soft drinks decreased as a whole by 2.5%. Bread and grain products (by 0.1%), milk, cheese, eggs (by 5.8%), sunflower oil and fats (by 0.3%), fruits (by 4.5%), vegetables (by 26.1%), sugar (by 14.4%) have fallen.
At the same time, prices for meat and meat products rose 1.1%, soft drinks rose by another 3.8%.
Prices for alcoholic beverages and tobacco products in 2012 rose by 6.3%. Shoes and clothing prices decreased by 1.7%.
Tariffs for housing, water, electricity, gas and other types of fuel increased by 0.2%. Transport prices (by 3.9%) and communication (by 1.4%) also went up in price.
As you know, since May 2012, a monthly deflation of 0.2 - 0.3% was recorded in the country, in September they changed 0.1% inflation. In October, the Ukrainian statistics service recorded zero inflation. And in December, she said that deflation in Ukraine amounted to 0.4%.
