Tata Steel's Steel Production Reaches 19.9 Mt in FY22-23

Tata Steel, India's leading steelmaker, said its crude steel production reached its highest level of 19.9Mt in fiscal year 2022-23 (April 2022-March 2023) with sales of 18.9Mt .

The increase in the company's operations in India by 4.3% year on year was due to the removal of bottlenecks at each plant and the increase in the capacity of Neelachal Ispat Nigam Limited (NINL) in Kalinga Nagar, Odisha.

In the first three months of 2023, Tata Steel's crude steel production increased by 5.1% year-on-year to 5.15 million tonnes.
