The principle of operation and the advantages of using static fluid mixers in complex wastewater treatment plants.
The term static mixers is used because there are no moving parts in such devices.
Purpose of application
A static mixer is a device, the purpose of which is a powerful diffusion of areas and the creation of liquefied-gaseous substances in order to make the quality of the transition from a gaseous state of aggregation to a liquid state great. It is also used to improve the quality of the connection of substances to be mixed with the treated liquid.
Destination areas:
- When the necessary components are introduced into the liquid - metals, hydroxides, salts, alkaline substances, etc. - for their high-quality distribution in the processed liquid.
- When water is saturated with oxygen: an increase in the aeration effect due to the greater interaction of the gaseous and liquid states.
- In ozone filling systems. Static mixers are used when filling water with ozone SOV-M in order to improve the solubility of this substance in liquid. They are located, most often, between the place of gas dissolution and the required capacity
Operating tips:
- Static mixers with three-section propellers are the best for working with a combination of gaseous and liquid states. And with a flow rate of water of at least 1.2 - 2 meters per second. This model can be equipped with a dissecting device to prevent the effect of "stuck" air.
- When carrying out work exclusively with substances of a liquid state, mixers are used that are not equipped with a dissecting device. They also have five-section propellers, and not such a large capacity, only 0.5 - 1 meter per second.
Features of the structure
- The body is made of stainless steel or PVC;
- Blades - exclusively made of stainless steel AISI 304;
- Designed to work in any liquid solution that does not destroy the above materials. (gaseous substances should occupy no more than 1/5 of the total volume).
Pressure Limits
- For PVC casing - up to six bar.
- For a steel shell - from ten to twenty-five.
Limiting temperature of the medium
- For a PVC case - up to plus thirty degrees Celsius.
- For a steel shell - up to plus one hundred degrees Celsius.
Features of the internal structure.
The static mixer consists of a cylinder-shaped shell that contains a propeller made entirely of steel.
