US President Donald Trump announced the introduction of a 50 percent tariff for the import of copper since August 1 of this year.
“Having received a reliable assessment of national security, I announce a 50 percent copper tariff that will enter into force on August 1, 2025,” Trump wrote in The Truth Social.
