Walking along the streets of the city, it was possible to evaluate the melodic rhythms of street musicians, and under the ringing of swords and alabard to evaluate the staged battles of real knights who arrived on this Saturday from the most diverse areas of Sineka.
And according to tradition, the castle mountain, where the modern Mstislavl was once arose, became the focus of the holiday. As the mayor of the district center, Yuri Blahin, noted at the opening of the festive tournament, the city, by tradition, hospitably meets the clubs of military-historical reconstruction, artisans and even cooks to transfer everyone several centuries ago. In a word, the “knightly fest”, he said, is dedicated not only to the military, but also to the “secular culture of the ancestors and is designed to form and strengthen the history of the native land.”
By the way, it was in August 1708 that the battle of Peter I and the Swedish troops and the Swedish troops, in which the foreigners were inflicted on the city, was the first tangible defeat.

And indeed, in the castle mountain on Saturday, serious passions flared up - the knights in armor converged in honest fights, and the audience enthusiastically applauded every well -aimed strike. They, holding their breath intensely, watched every movement of the knights, and they tiredly demonstrated not only strength, but also the nobility of the spirit inherent in real warriors.
