According to the application on the Saudi Stock Exchange, the East Pipes Saudi Pipes manufacturer issued an order for the supply of steel pipes to the Indian manufacturer Welspun Corp limited (WCL) in the amount of 173.2 million Ryalov ($ 46.1 million). It is expected that the supply of WCL will be completed until the end of the third quarter of the financial year 2025-26.
The order covers part of the existing contract previously concluded with East Pipes. The statement states that the decision to attract Welspun was made at the request of the client to ensure a faster implementation of the critical gas infrastructure in Saudi Arabia.
East Pipes operates a modern pipe production plant with screw welding under flux with a annual production capacity of 500,000 metric tons. The company is capable of producing pipes up to 18.2 meters long, with wall thickness 6-25.4 mm, with a diameter of 20-100 inches and brands to the API X80.
