In line with its vision of clean zero, Isdemir has increased its investments and commissioned Turkey's largest blast furnace in 2025. The new furnace, named Cemile, has an annual capacity of 2.8 million tons of hot metal. Equipped with advanced technological systems, it increases efficiency and saves energy. The furnace's gas recovery technology also helps reduce carbon emissions, supporting the company's goal of zero-carbon production.
Founded in 1970, Isdemir is the only integrated steel producer in Turkey capable of producing both flat and long products, with an annual liquid steel production capacity of 5.8 million tons. The company directly employs about 5,000 people and provides indirect employment for another 9,000 people.
