Asuman Gürsa, Secretary General of the Association of Cold -Killed, Galfight and Pre -colored flat steel (Sogad) of Turkey, shared estimates of a relatively continuing anti -dumping investigation in Turkey, which was started in December 2024 with respect to a cold -rolled, galvanized flat products from China and China and China and Previous South Korea.
emphasizing that as of 2025 the import of these products increased significantly, Ms. Gyursa noted that from January to August this year, the import of pre-colored steel grew by 43 percent in annual calculation to 29,000 tons, while the import of zealous steel grew by 16 by 16 percent up to 109,000 tons. She stated that the most sharp increase was observed in imported steel, while the total import of two countries increased by 53 percent in annual calculus from 290,000 tons to 444,000 tons.
emphasizing that the current situation puts Turkish domestic manufacturers under huge pressure due to an unscrupulous competition, Gyursa said that Sogad requested temporary measures at the Ministry of Trade. She said that the association hopes for the immediate implementation of temporary measures and the introduction of a restraining anti -dumping fee established at the rates higher than those that are currently applied to hot -rolled steel.
