In the first eight months of the year, wire rod exports to Turkey totaled 623,263 tons, an increase of 1.2 percent, while the value of these exports decreased by 5.2 percent to $359.16 million, year-on-year.

During this period, Romania was the largest export destination of wire rod to Turkey, which received 223,650 tons, which is 20.7 percent more than last year. Romania is followed by Libya with 47,449 metric tons and Australia with 44,272 metric tons, up 3.4 percent year-on-year.
