C. Jindal Group, has begun commercial shipments of coated steel sheets to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in the home appliance industry, the company said in a statement on Tuesday, October 28.
The coated steel sheets will be supplied to leading brands in the home appliance industry, including LG, Whirlpool, and Godrej, for use in the manufacture of products such as washing machines, air conditioners, and other household appliances, the statement said.
"This step is consistent with our efforts to establish a strong presence in India's fast-growing home appliance market and further strengthen our presence in the country's key industries," the company said in a statement.
The company expects a 20 percent increase in total revenue from the supply of coated steel sheets, the company added.
