According to indexes based on individual questions asked to the heads of Turkish construction sector enterprises that own private enterprises with 10 or more employees, the index of confidence in construction activity registered over the past three months decreased by 0.9 percent to 88.5 points per month.
In October, the current overall subindex of the order book decreased by 5.7 percent to 77.0 points, while the subindex of overall employment expectations for the next three months decreased by 4.9 percent to 90.3 points compared to the previous month.
Meanwhile, in this month, executives' expectations for sales prices in the next three months decreased by 0.8 percent month-on-month to 113.4 points.
* The values of the industry confidence index range from zero to 200. When the index is above 100, it indicates an optimistic outlook for the current and future period of the sector, when it is below 100, it indicates a pessimistic outlook.
