India's Jindal Steel Limited expects a 26% decrease in consolidated net profit in the second quarter of fiscal year 2025-2026.
Indian company Jindal Steel Limited (JSL), formerly known as Jindal Steel and Power Limited, achieved consolidated net profit of INR 6.35 billion (US$71.95 million) in the second quarter (July-September) of fiscal year 2025-26, which is 26 percent less than in the corresponding quarter of the previous one fiscal year, according to the company's statement on Wednesday, October 29.

The company reported total revenue of INR 116.85 billion (US$1.32 billion) in the second quarter, up 4.21 percent from the same period last year.

Finished steel production for the quarter totaled two million tons, an increase of 10 percent, and sales totaled 1.87 million tons, up seven percent from last year.
