Under the contract, Primetals Technologies will provide the complete design of the line, including mechanical equipment, automation systems, and installation and commissioning consulting services. It is planned that the new plant will be operational by the end of 2027.
The cold machine supplied by Primetals will use a rolling system that provides shape control and thickness uniformity, high-precision control capable of maintaining the performance of all steel grades, and automation systems that include temperature modeling and edge control, allowing the production of extremely thin steel gauges.
This is not the first collaboration between Primetals and a Hebei manufacturer. In recent years, Primetals has supplied two sets of automation control systems for similar plants of the company. These systems have demonstrated exceptional reliability and control accuracy, which has strengthened the customer's trust and led to the latest order.
