The European Commission has received notification of the planned acquisition by Ukrainian metals and mining group Metinvest ArcelorMittal Tubular Products Iasi, a Romanian subsidiary of ArcelorMittal headquartered in Luxembourg.
According to the notification, Metinvest intends to acquire full control of the Iasi business by purchasing shares.
The Commission has made an offer to interested third parties parties to submit their possible comments on the proposed acquisition. Because a case may potentially qualify for summary treatment under the Commission's Notice of Summary Procedures, it may undergo a faster review process if competition concerns are unlikely.
