TUIK: The cost of steel imports to Turkey decreased by 3.7 percent in January-September 2025
According to preliminary foreign trade statistics compiled by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) and the Turkish Customs Sub-Secretariat, in September this year, the value of iron and steel imports to Turkey increased by 3.8 percent year-on-year, amounting to $1.80 billion. In this month, iron and steel ranked sixth among the country's most imported products in terms of value. In the first nine months of this year, the value of Turkish ferrous metallurgy imports amounted to $16.75 billion, a decrease of 3.7% compared to the same period in 2024.
