Brazilian group Gerdau reported consolidated net profit of 1.089 billion reais (202.4 million US dollars) for the third quarter of 2025, compared with 1.356 billion reais achieved in the 3rd quarter of 2024.
Net sales increased by 3.50 percent to 17.983 billion reais, production costs increased by 7.02 percent to R$15,841. billion, gross profit decreased by 16.94 percent to 2.142 billion reais, and operating profit decreased by 12.38 percent to 1.858 billion reais. In volume terms, crude steel production increased by 6.0 percent to 3.157 million tons, and sales of steel products increased by 9.1 percent to 3.087 million tonnes. Brazil accounts for 50 percent of the group's sales by volume, North America 40.9 percent and South America (excluding Brazil) 9.1 percent. When looking at net sales revenue, these shares were 42.2 percent, 50.3 percent and 7.5 percent, respectively. The company reported mixed activity in the third quarter, with operations in North America performing well due to strong demand, while in Brazil, higher sales volumes were offset by lower prices as a result of strong inflows of imported steel.
