According to statistics published by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in October this year, the domestic producer price index (PPI) for the Turkish industry as a whole increased by 1.63 percent month-on-month and by 27.0 percent year-on-year, while an average increase of 25.49 percent was recorded over the past 12 months. months.
In this month, the domestic PPI for Turkey's main steel industry grew by 2.62 percent month-on-month and by 17.54 percent compared to the same month in 2024. Meanwhile, the average growth in domestic PPI over the past 12 months has been 14.99 percent.
On the other hand, in October, the domestic PPI for Turkish metal products production, excluding machinery, increased by 1.45 percent compared to September and by 24.32 percent year-on-year. Meanwhile, the sector in question has recorded an average increase in the PPI index of 23.12 percent over the past 12 months.
