Spanish stainless steel manufacturer Acerinox S.
A. announced financial and operating results for the third quarter and the first nine months of this year.
In the third quarter, the company reported a net profit of €25 million, a decrease of 47.9% compared to the same quarter last year, and sales revenue of €1.42 billion, an increase of 8.3% year-on-year. In addition, Acerinox's EBITDA for the quarter was €108 million compared to €114 million recorded in the third quarter of 2024.
In the quarter, the company's steel production decreased by nine percent to 431,000 tons, while production of hot-rolled and cold-rolled products decreased by 21.0 percent and five percent, respectively, to 32,000 tons and 286,000 tons, all year-on-year.
Meanwhile, in the first nine months of this year, Acerinox reported a net profit of €7 million, down 95.7% from last year, and sales revenue of €4.47 billion, an increase of nine percent year-on-year. In the specified period, the company's EBITDA amounted to € 321 million, a decrease of 8.3% compared to the same period last year.
In January-September of this year, Acerinox steel production increased by eight percent year-on-year to 1.40 million tons, while hot-rolled steel production increased by two percent to 113,000 tons, and cold-rolled steel production increased by nine percent to 910,000 tons, both on
