Turkish steel manufacturer Kocaer Çelik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.
S. (Kocaer Çelik) announced its financial and operating results for the first nine months of this year.
During the said period, the company achieved a net profit of TL 450.50 million ($10.70 million), compared to a net profit of TL 8.20 million in January-September of the previous year, while it recorded an operating profit of TL 1.75 billion lira ($41.49 million) during the period, an increase of 14.9 percent year on year. Kocaer Çelik's sales revenue decreased by 1.03 percent year-on-year to 17.24 billion Turkish lira ($409.60 million).
Meanwhile, the company's EBITDA for the first nine months decreased by 0.5 percent year-on-year to 2.18 billion Turkish lira ($51.83 million).
During the period, volume Kocaer Çelik product sales totaled 502,372 tons, an increase of 22.9 percent year on year. The share of value-added products in the company's total sales increased to 44 percent from 40.4 percent in the same period in 2024.
Kocaer Çelik said weakness in supply fundamentals continued throughout the period, particularly in the second half of the year due to tariffs and new quota systems, although the company maintained its momentum in the third quarter thanks to its strong export performance.
