The China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) reported that at the end of October (October 21-31) this year, the average daily production of crude steel by large and medium-sized steel mills in China - all CISA members - was 1.817 million tons, down 9.8% compared to mid-October (October 11-20) this year.
In mid-October, the average daily production crude steel by large and medium-sized steel enterprises in China amounted to 2.014 million tons, down 0.9% compared with the beginning of October (October 1-10) of this year.
Inventory levels of large and medium-sized steel enterprises in China decreased during the period. As of October 31, finished steel inventories of large and medium-sized steel enterprises in China amounted to 14.63 million tons, a decrease of 11.8% compared to October 20.
