With the commissioning of the new plant, the total capacity of VPTL will increase to 16,200 tons per year, the company said.
"This achievement marks an important step on our growth path and supports our strategy of serving mission-critical, high-performance industries that require premium stainless steel products," Arun Kothari, VPTL's managing director, said in a statement.
The company operates in two main product segments - seamless and welded - each designed to meet the high demands of industries such as oil and gas, energy, automotive, pharmaceutical, and construction.
The company's portfolio also includes welded stainless steel pipes and LSAW (Longitudinal Submerged arc welding) pipes designed for structural and large-diameter work requiring durability and reliability.
