Klöckner & Co., a German manufacturer and distributor of steel and non-ferrous metals, announced its financial results for the third quarter and the period from January to September of this year.
In the third quarter, the company recorded a net loss of 13 million euros, compared with a net loss of 29 million euros in the same quarter of 2024, and sales revenue of 1.61 billion euros. a 2.2 percent year-on-year decline due to lower average prices. In addition, Klöckner's EBITDA for the third quarter amounted to 36 million euros, compared to 13 million euros in the same quarter last year.
In this quarter, the company's steel shipments increased by two percent from 1.12 million tons recorded in the third quarter of 2024 to 1.14 million tons.
For the first nine months of this year, Klöckner's net loss was 38 million euros, compared with a net loss of 85 million euros in the same period the previous year, and sales revenue rose 1.5 percent year on year to 3.48 billion euros. In addition, the company's EBITDA for the first six months of the year amounted to 117 million euros, compared with 93 million euros in January-September 2024.
During the period, Klöckner steel shipments increased by 1.5 percent year on year to 3.48 million tons.
