The Japanese steel company Nippon Steel Corporation has announced that, together with the Japanese company Sumitomo Corporation, which provides electrical services, they have entered into a new 10-year long-term framework agreement with the Dutch company Shell Global Solutions International B.
V. on the global supply of pipe products for oil countries (OCTG).
For more than five decades, Nippon Steel and Sumitomo have jointly supplied seamless OCTG products to Shell operating companies in more than 20 countries. This renewed agreement reflects their strategic collaboration, highlighting Nippon's consistent supply of high-quality premium OCTG and Sumitomo's strengths in supply chain management, just-in-time delivery, and inventory solutions.
Under this agreement, the partners will focus on expanding OCTG's product portfolio to meet growing oil and gas needs, optimizing global supply chain operations to ensure safe and efficient delivery, and leveraging digital technology to enhance traceability, transparency, and quality of service.
